Velvet Olive was started in July 2004 by Kathryn Fletcher who had always enjoyed sticking things together with glue & glitter. The company first started creating handmade cards using a wealth of materials like leather, ribbon, shell and diamantes.

Soon though, our fingers could no longer keep up with demand and new designs were created that were part pre-printed with a hand finished element. This gave much more time to devote to design more and more cards!

Now there is a huge variety to choose from and the selection will continue to get bigger and bigger!

The cards are now sold in many corners of the world including, New Zealand, Japan, America, Dubai and many more.

Every single material we use is of the highest quality and comes not only from suppliers in the UK but where possible is also British made too. Much of the paper and card used comes from sustainable forests in the UK.

We believe in supporting local business and staying with our British roots, so nothing that you see here is made in the far east.
